Baby Immunisations
Monday and Wednesday 2.00 - 3.00pm (excluding bank holidays and 3rd Wednesday of each month)
Childhood immunisation is very important for the welfare of your baby.
Well Person Clinics
Advice on many health aspects is available at all of the Well Person Clinics, eg stopping smoking, diet, exercise and many more.
- Smears can be taken during Well Person Clinics and as appointments on their own.
- Advice on adult immunisation.
- Travel advice is available including any vaccinations necessary.
- We are an authorised Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.
Other Well Person Clinics
- Well Woman Clinic - Dr M R Gold (Wednesday 10.00 - 10.30am)
- Advice is available on any women's health problems, family planning and cervical smear tests.
- Child Health Development checks - Dr P J Griffin (Tues from 10.00am.)
Flu Vaccinations
Everyone over 65 years old and patients at risk, eg patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, carers or residents of nursing and rest homes, are particularly recommended to have a flu vaccination each year.
Appointments can be booked in special clinics around October. Please ask reception for details.
Family Planning and Contraception Services
All the partners offer a full range of family planning services which include:
- Pre conception planning.
- Routine and emergency contraception.
- Problems related to infertility.
The practice nurses also give advice and counselling on such matters as sexual health and family planning.
Asthma and Diabetic Clinics
Patients with these conditions are invited to specific clinics, annually, for a full assessment.
Cervical Smears
The practice nurse carries out smears during routine nursing appointments.
Minor Injuries
Examples of injuries which can be treated in the surgery are:
- Minor injuries/trauma
- Removal of sutures
- Changing dressings
- Ear syringing
Minor Surgery
Sessions for liquid nitrogen and minor surgery are available, eg removal of warts and toenails, etc.
Travel Advice And Immunisations
These are managed and organised by the practice nurse.
When planning your travel abroad, consult the practice nurse for advice on immunisations needed. Do not leave this to the last minute.
Yellow Fever
The practice is an approved Yellow Fever Immunisation Centre.
Non NHS Examination Medicals
The doctors are happy to carry out medicals eg insurance, driving licence and diving medicals etc by appointment outside surgery hours.
